How is AI impacting Search?

Over the past year Google has been working on Google AI search and it will potentially have a big impact on search.

What is Google AI search engine?

Earlier this year, Google announced its Search Generative Experience (SGE), which infuses AI (Artificial intelligence) into its market-dominating search engine. Since then, the SGE has been open to user testing via Search Labs.
Search results will soon provide even more information and present more opportunities for any business that wants to give customers/users more information about their product or service.

Here is How it works

When you’re researching something new, or looking for an explanation of a concept, you might come across a term you don’t understand or just might want more information about. To make this easier, Google will soon roll out improvements to their AI-generated responses for various topics. With this update, you’ll be able to hover over certain words to preview definitions and see related diagrams or images on the topic. From here, you can tap to learn more.

So regardless if you are a B2B or B2C organization, there will be even more opportunities to show more data, images and text to your customers and rank higher for those companies that put the work into their search efforts.

It is still not formally launched but we expect to see it in 2024, stay tuned!
